Shippers Supply began in the garage of G.R. “Red” Easley in August 1971. With over 40 years of experience in the strapping industry—both before and after WWII—Mr. Easley brought unmatched expertise to the company. During the war, the Army recognized his skills and reassigned him to oversee transatlantic shipments of supplies to troops stationed in Europe.

Later, his sons Richard and Robert joined the business. Richard had been working across Texas as a representative for a major tape manufacturer, and Robert came on board after being discharged from the Army in 1971.

We were blessed with very little capital, but surrounded by people who “opened their doors to us” and gave us the encouragement we needed—to “survive” first, and “succeed” later.
